Finding an external engagement The first thing we had to do was find a live brief or client to produce work for. We had to find something specific to our field of creativity, for me that was something reared toward games. I looked around the Internet for different games related art competitions, these being what I found: • character design contest • artstation comp • monthly character design comp • blizzard comp These were some others I thought sounded interesting too, just in case there wasn't any games related ones: • 11 second club • comic comp I was originally planning to pick the artstation competition for character concept designs, however unfortunately the concept section was already closed for judgment and so I couldn't enter.
